1981frame VIN location

I have a 1981 built at the St Louis plant. I am wondering where to look for the VIN that is stamped in the frame. Where should I be looking ? Thanks, Craig

One is centered on the forward edge of the #4 body mount bracket aft of the rear wheel, and the other is about 12" forward of the frame kickup, about where your wallet is. Only the rear one can be seen with the body on - clean the surface and use a small mirror; the stamping is about 1/4" inboard of the outer edge of the frame rail, on the top horizontal surface.
