Re: Paddle shift on C6 06
friend here in cumb, md took deliver of a paddle shift last week. i drove it and although the shifts are more positive and quicker than any automatics i've driven previously, i think an experienced driver could get thru the gears of a 6 speed a tad quicker. neat option for oldtimers like the dipstick and tc. i'll stick with std shifters however. mikie- Top

FYI - Road & Track April issues compares a 911 vs C6 Z06 and discusses the paddle shift. Knocks it for being thumb operating versus finger operated like F1 and other race cars. Gary....Shopping online for all your Home/Work/Auto needs?

Re: Paddle shift on C6 06
I took delivery of a C6 with "paddle-shift" about 4 weeks ago. I am still learning how to use it correctly. When up-shifting from 1st in a turn at an intersection it is difficult. Once you are straightened out it works well. I found you have to shift a split second early to have shift at the correct point. I have only down-shifted once when I meant to up-shift.- Top
