    Plastic plugs C2

Does anyone know where on the body of a 65 coupe that 4 plastic semi-clear caplugs as installed? Am coming close to the end of putting car back together and I find these, with overspray from the previous paint job. Can anyone help? The plugs are about an inch in diameter............Thanks

It's been a while since I completed my restoration, but I rember some plastic plugs on the sides of the headlamp buckets.

I believe the plugs in the floor are black, but when I removed my headlights the plastic plugs in those holes were clear.

          Headlight plugs

I thought there were a total of 2 clear plastic plugs associated with the headlights; one on the outboard side of each bucket. No?

I seem to recall clear plugs on the door sills covering body mounting bolts under the sill plate??

I'll bet they are from the headlight buckets as I removed buckets to be repainted. Thank you all for your thoughts.........Kirby

There are 2 plugs in each bucket, total 4. They plug the holes that are for access to the bolts that hold the buckets in place.

The 1965 AIM does not show any plugs in the pivot assy, at least not that I can see. But maybe the pivots came with the plug already installed?

Anyone with an umolested '65 that can attest to these plugs being OEM?

I think they just forgot to show them in the A.I.M.; the headlight buckets were installed in the Body Shop, and the plastic plugs wouldn't have survived the heat of the Paint Shop prime oven if they were received as part of the raw bucket, removed for access to install the bolts, and re-installed.
