67 grille fit

Would someone be kind enough to measure the distance between the leading edge of the lower valance panel and the front edge of the grille? I would like two measurements, one by each mounting bracket. This measurement is about 1/4 inch more on the left side than the right side on my car and I don't know what is correct. I can not find this information in the factory assembly manual.

My 67 grille (original) lines up flush with the leading edge of the valance (non-molested). I placed a straight edge against both edges and it is in a vertical plane. Sounds like you have some alignment problems.

Thank you for the reply. I do have alignment problems. The door gaps are fine. The headlights and the hood fit well, the grille doesn't.
