    Hood Release Latch problem 1967

Could not get the right side release latch to do its thing last night. I am assuming that the wire parted at the latch; any good ideas on how to get the hood to open to fix it? Thanks in advance.

    Mornin' Dave,

Welcome to the wonderful world of midyears! I hope you don't have factory air, which will complicate things. Start by jacking up the right side as high as you can safely get it, be sure to use a jackstand. Remove the large triangular metal panel below the battery, now try to get your skinny arm up high enough to trip the release lever. You may need to do this with a screwdriver.

Once you get the hood open, figure out why it happened, broken cable, cable pulled through stop, ect. Bend your cables at a 90 degree angle right behind the stop when you have finished adjusting things. Good luck, Bill
