    Gas Shocks 70-72

Now that I have the new tires, I am thinking about the shocks now. the shocks that are on the car are just the old style AC Delco. what would be the best gas shock? you guys like the gas shocks from AC Delco?

Do you want stock appearing, or does appearance not matter much to you?
Is this for pleasure driving, or will you be autocrossing?

I put Edelbrock IAS shocks on my wife's Cutlass convertible 2 years ago. They made a HUGE difference in both ride and handling compared to the previous Konis that were on that car. I had previously rebuilt the whole front suspension and replaced absolutely everything except the shocks, and was disappointed when that did not make as much difference as I had hoped. The shocks did it. I have yet to try them on a Corvette, but if we keep Dad's 72 I will be tempted to try them on that car.

I've got Delco gas shocks on my '71 SB and after 50K miles I'm still happy with 'em...

Ten years ago stepped up and purchased a set of Bilsteins for Reba's '72 BB. Still very happy with them

I do not know the going market price for either, but my wholesale price is about double for the Bilstein's

              Try www.shox.com

They have good prices on Bilsteins for other cars, but I have never priced Corvette shocks from them.
