Re: Starting the sale of parts

My post do not need defending, they speak for themselves. I am a Professional that has been sworn to a high ethical code. If someone does not understand what I was trying to do I apologize and at the same time feel sorry for the abundance of negitivity. Many members over the years have asked me to notify them when I decided to sell the parts I have collected. It is not the money, did you see what my car sold for at Barrett-Jackson? I was just trying to let everyone know that I was ready to help other people restoring these wonderfull cars get some of the rarest parts.
It does not take a real man to admit to a mistake, it takes an honest ethical person be it man or wommn. I was not justifing a mistake since I did not make one. The history lesson was in response to what I felt was disrespect from someone that did not know me and jump to an unfounded conclusion. If you want history let me know and I will email you off this board.

To everybody else I am sorry this little bit of me trying to help restorers deteroriated into this mud slinging discourse.

Since no one answered my original question, I will use this example as a precedent so that the 'powers that be' can ammend the rules of the board. 26 years of NCRS membership, working as a National Judge, helping with a Judging Manual and selling a corvette for 200K is the MINIMUM amount of experience necessary to allow someone to post an ad (oh sorry, 'heads up') for an eBay auction. Now all those with this minimum amount of experience, please feel free to post a 'heads up' for your eBay auctions!

Chris your head is so far up your A you can not see the light of day. Which may be a good thing. I never mentioned a price, where I was selling the items ( it could be in the Driveline, I just stated the reason I was selling the parts, the buyer of the car was not interested to say the least, many people emailed me they would be interested in the parts I had For Sale, I did not save all of the email addresses of those interested ( all were NCRS members)(my bad)and I thought it only fair to let all those that are interested in these rare parts know that they were now available.

With your help and those others that perpetuate this discussion I am getting more advetising then I intended, so thank you for your assistance. If you question my contributions to this hobby, what at one time was a fun thing, ask any of the those people involved during the 80's and 90's of what I have done. How many have been awarded the NCRS Support Team award, have mid level Judging status, mid level Tabulating status, orgnized with others help a National event which at the time was the largest event to date, are founding members of two NCRS Chapters and belongs to a third and still has to listen to people like your self when in my opinion and others that have offered their support to me here and via personel email and phone calls.
I am not looking for an ataboy but just a little understanding of why I consider my announcement a service to the HOBBY. This is my latest and final statement on this subject.

Peace and I hope u all have a great Easter.

          Perfect observation. Terry

I might say, I have been guilty also. Terry
