    '69 "Stingray" side scripts

What are the differences between assembly line installed 1969 "Stingray" side script and (1) later issue script and (2) reproduction of today? And is there a reproduction sold by which vendor that is exactly like the original?
Thanks for your support. Kent #6201

Kent - Check the archives. I'm pretty sure it was Joe Lucia who posted detailed photos showing all the differences you're asking about ~6 mos. ago.

      Gordon,
Thanks for the response, however, I searched the archives last 2 years for many combinations containing the information and found nothing. Still lookin' for the same information in my initial post.

        Kent-----

There have been several slight changes in design of the emblem over the years. Some of these changes were made during the 69-E77 period when these emblems were used in PRODUCTION and some were made later after they became only a SERVICE item.

The original emblems had four posts whereas current SERVICE examples have only three.

The originals had slightly wider and "flatter" lettering; later SERVICE have narrower, more "peaked" lettering.

The originals had all chromed lettering on a black base. Current SERVICE are black for the entire periphery of the emblem, lettering and base included.

The pictures included have several different examples of the plates over the years. The ones with the "cheesecloth" backing are original 1969-70 issued pieces.
