having a hard time finding AC Delco shocks, my question is are the delco shocks now made by Monroe? the chevrolet dealer wants 40 bucks a shock for delco. I can get a Monroe sensa-trac shock for 27$. they look all most like the delco shock.

Re: shocks

I believe that the current Delco 63-82 replacement gas shocks are manufactured by Gabriel (Arvin-Meritor) or Monroe (Federal-Mogul). I KNOW that some of the current GM replacement shocks are manufactured by Monroe, but I'm not 100% sure that they manufacture the Corvette replacement shocks.
These shocks have no "Delco Products" stamping on them GM "long number" stamped on them and no Delco "short number", either. They do have a "suspiciously aftermarket" appearing number on them, though. Nevertheless, that does not make them bad. Who knows, they may be better than those manufactured in days-of-old by Delco Products? However, they are somewhat different in configuration, so they might not be the thing for "judging".
Anyway, the Delco part numbers for the shocks you need are as follows:
front-----Delco 530-315
rear------Delco 530-4
I think that any Delco dealer should be able to get you these shocks. However, most of the major Corvette parts vendors carry them at reasonable prices. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
