I recently installed new windshield pillar weatherstrips on my 66 convertible.
I checked to see that the rubber was being compressed when door closed by putting a sheet of paper between the vent frame and windshield frame. rubber seems compressed OK.
When I spray water into the area between the vent window chrome and windshield pillar, water runs down the weatherstrip and some drains down the door drain as designed but some also runs down into the foot well from the dash above the kick panels.
Looking at the weatherstrip design once water is in the groove it would seem it has to drain down the door frame. Any tips on how to diagnose this?
