    Fan Clutch Rotation Question...

In this particular SBC application, I am using a GM serpentine belt drive which utilizes a reverse rotation water pump and fan. If I desire to add a fan clutch, will the reverse rotation be a factor, or will the clutch not care which way it is turning and function properly in either direction. If this will work, how about opinions on whether this is a worthwhile addition. Thanks, Dennis

You will need to get a fan and fan clutch designed for reverse rotation

Can you not use an electric fan? Properly controlled electric fans can be very efficient.

        Currently...

...the installation as described is in place on the "Carvette", minus the possibility of adding a fan clutch - thus the question about the clutch. Maybe I should have gone with the electric fan setup, but for now I'm stuck with my earlier decision.
