I found the following date code stamped onto a 15x8 rally wheel:
K-1-97 7(stem)2 AZ Does this translate to July 2,1997?

rally wheels manuf. in 1997 by Kelsey? Are you sure you havn't added an extra digit 9 or 7 on the left side of the stem, the "97" doesn't sound right. At any rate I copied this from the archive and is so simply stated I bookmarked it for future use.

"Look where the valve stem hole is. Example for a 1969 on the left side you should see K-1-9-X. K=Kelsey, 1=manufacturing plant, 9=1969, X=month as in 1-12. So, K-1-9-10 (10 being October) could be considered okay for an early 1970 Corvette to April 1970. On the right side should be another number which is the day of the wheel build and than AZ. Example: K-1-9-10-16-AZ is October 16, 1969. For a 1970 wheel K-1-0-3-25-AZ would then be March 25, 1970. This would not be okay for a 1969 Corvette."

Ask you local wheel distributor for part number 40317. You might be able to get one stamped 2005.
