Re: 67 BB TI Coil 1115263
the turns ratio should be different between a TI coil and a points coil and their ad says it will work for both. i would get them to supply the resistance reading of the windings so you could compare them to the specs in the corvette shop manual- Top

Re: 67 BB TI Coil 1115263
Clem,
Nice to hear from you....hope you are doing well. I thought a TI coil could be used for both applications but a standard coil would not work for TI applications....am I wrong....thanks.- Top

Re: 67 BB TI Coil 1115263
The coil shown in the pacifica ad does not show the embossed part number, nor can I make out the printing on the top of the coil, may or may no be accurate based on the picture, in addition to Clem's comments.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: 67 BB TI Coil 1115263
Rick,
I personally looked at the '263' coil that Goat Hill Classics sell. It looks correct and is supposed to be internally built correct as well. I know alot of members here are not fond of this vendor, I personally only buy when he is at the different shows. I will probably see him at Turlock May 7th here in California, could pick one up for you if you'd like. I think he is at $240, however at the show I think he sells for $210.
Both my '71 LS-6 cars use that coil as well.- Top

Re: 67 BB TI Coil 1115263
I have one of these coils from Pacifica and the resistance is .9 Ohms, which is higher than TI Speicalties suggests (.41 - .51), but lower than that of a points coil (1.26 - 1.46). There is a strong possibility my ohmmeter is a POS.
I have not yet installed it so I can't comment on it's performance- Top
