    c2 big block rubbing radiator hose

    I'M PUTTING TOGETHER MY 66 427 COOLING SYSYEM. WHEN INSTALLING MY LOWER RADIATOR HOSE IT IS ACTUALLY RUBBING THE FRONT CROSSMEMBER PRETTY TIGHT. IT COMES OFF THE WATER PUMP, MAKES A 90 AND IS RUBBING THE CROSS MEMBER.IT IS THE WATER PUMP SIDE THAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. I HAVE THE HOSE ON THE PUMP AS FAR AS I CAN GET IT, I WILL TRY TO CUT SOME OF THE HOSE TO GET IT ON THE PUMP HIGHER, BUT I DON'T WANT TO GET INTO THE 90 UP ONTO THE PUMP. IT IS A REPRODUCTION MOLDED HOSE. JUST WONDERING WHAT COULD BE WRONG.

    IS THERE A LITTLE TO MUCH HOSE ON THE REPRODUCTION HOSES THAT THEY NEED TO BE TRIMMED? HOSE CAME FROM CORVETTE CENTRAL.

    HOW CLOSE TO THE FRAME IS THE HOSE NORMALLY?

    I ASSUME IT SHOULD NOT TOUCH AT ALL.

      try removing the lower hose and reversing the inlet/outlet ends of the hose. that's the most common reason for hose rubbing on frame. mike

          TRIED THAT. THE HOSE IS ALSO IS MARKED WHAT SIDE THE RADIATOR IS ON.
