    C2 Tail Light

The passinger side turn signal will not blink on my 1966 coupe. I troubleshot it this weekend to a loose connection right behind the socket. I can snake my hand up and wiggle the wires and it will work. I cleaned the socket, no help. Now the dumb question: How do you, or can you remove the tail light assembly without removing the gas tank? Looking up there I see no alternatives. Any suggestions? Thanks

Clark, I changed mine this weekend. It is easy to do if you remove the exhaust panel and then just reach up with a deep 7/16 socket on a quarter inch drive ratchet. No need to remove the gas tank.

By removing the exhaust filler panel you can gain access to the tailights. Removing the muffler will give you further room. If you have sidepipes you are home free.
