Always thought the general rule was that if it appears in the AIM as an "assembly", that meant it was put together elsewhere from individual components and shipped to St.Louis.
But the '65 AIM UPC 11-13, Sheet B2, shows the assembly instructions for about 17 different pieces, all with part #'s. Seems not to have been very labor efficient for the UAW boys. Probably another reason that the grille assembly (given # 3869149 in Gr 1.266 of the parts catalogs) was no longer available in SERVICE as of 7-66, with instructions to replace with the '66-67 cast grille # 3875746.
