How does the park brake cable attach to the handle shaft? The handle came off in my hand when I pulled on it to set brake. The end of the cable has a loop in it but I can't find an illustration that shows what connects it to the handle. The tech's at Zip and Corv. Central said the cable is broken. I don't understand what is broken. Thanx- lib

The cable has a loop at the end, near the end of the handle there is a small hole in the shaft. There should be a pin which is pressure fit into the hole and through the loop then flush to the other side of the handle. The original pin has a large base exposed when it is in place. I broke mine but found a substitute pin that worked at a local hardware store.
