That was P/N 3711354 (casting #3711355); intake lift was .404", exhaust was .413" (gross). Published duration was 264* intake and 266* exhaust, but Chevrolet never said at what lifter rise those durations were measured, and there's no hint on the drawing. If you're replacing it with a later '57-up or aftermarket cam, don't forget to mill the flat on the rear journal or you won't get any oil to the lifters. Also make sure you have the '55-'56-only rear cam bearing with two holes, or modify a later single-hole bearing to make a slot.- Top

I don't think that the original cam that John mentioned is available in reproduction at the present time. However, if you wish one some of the major cam manufacturers like Crane and Comp Cams can probably make you up one from the complete spec they have on file.
Also, keep in mind that this was a MECHANICAL (SOLID) LIFTER camshaft. All 1956 Corvette camshafts were mechanical lifter type.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Same cam as the 195hp 1955 Chevy engine, might be able to find an aftermarket replacement under that use.Bill Clupper #618- Top
