Getting closer to having the '81 running again. However, I can't find the exact details of this in the AIM. Can someone tell me where each of these wires is supposed to connect on the start selenoid or somewhere close by?
- the two black wires that come into 1 electrical connection
- the two orangish/pinkish wires that come into one connection
- the larger red wire
Thanks!
Sorry about the large photo. I'm new to the concept.
Also, on a second look at the photo, it looks like the wires I called black may be brown with black overspray.
Look at the wiring diagram in the service manual, (Which I don't have) but the two-into one with the fusible links go onto the stud the battery cable is connected to on the solenoid. It looks like a black wire and a brown wire on the same terminal, and without a diagram I can't comment on that one, if both wires were Black, they would be grounds and go under the starter bolt.. I would expect the pink? wire with the small terminal to be the wire that activates the solenoid, but the wiring diagram should explain each for sure.
