    New gas prices....new problem

I noticed that since the gas prices have soared, my engine wants to "run on" after I shut it off. I never had this problem until the very recent spike in pump prices. I'm using the same brand and grade gas. Coincidence?

Get your spark advance map issues fixed, and it will probably go away.

Might have something to do with the switchover to summer gas.

        Hi Rob

Just my 2 cents..I heard from some sources that when tankers fill the gas storage tanks from their trucks at the gas stations with (premium gas for example)and they have left over gas cause the storage tank is full, they dump the rest in the regular grade storage tanks. If this is true, it's possible that your engine is running on from the higher octane grade. If you have room in your tank, go to another gas station and top it off with the grade you use. That might take care of it.

i would think it is caused by someone putting regular in the high test pump.that has been done before to increase profits for the gas station

Your car probably can't believe the prices either.
