    Fel Pro gasket

    I am putting the intake manifold back on and have Fel Pro 1207 gaskets. I'm embarrased to ask BUT... which way does the blue bead go? Facing the head or the intake? The directions don't say. Honest. Jerry

      the blue bead go up BUT for street engine i prefer the stock type intake gaskets. i think these fel pro print o seal gaskets are too hard to get a good seal on stock engines. JMHO

          It's a vintage race motor. The head manufacters recommended these. Thanks..I'll remember now "Blue Up" The past tence of what I don't want the motor to do. Jerry

              If you're doing a vintage race motor, you may want a less garish gasket than the Fel Pro blue one. Lots of that blue will be showing.
