    OIL PICKUP FOR 65 327

    Can anyone tell me what the GM part # for the oil pump pickup tube is and if it is still available. I got one form a jobber with the new oil pump but it wwill not fit in the original pan. Any help greatly appreciated. Sheldon

      IF you have the original oil pan or a correct replacement on your car, the part number for the oil pick-up screen is GM #3830080. This screen is still available for a GM list price of $11.75. Also, this part number applies whether you have the "5 quart" or "6 quart" oil pan. If this screen does not work on your car, then you have an incorrect oil pan.

          Joe Thanks Joe, I was ready to put the pan on the motor and paint it and then ran into this problem. Will get pickup ordered tommorow. Sheldon
