Were the metal shells of the two big rubber bushings in the differential crossmember natural or painted black?
I have my differential crossmember out of the car right now and I have decided to leave the original bushings in place because (amazingly) they appear to be in good condition. I am cleaning and repainting the crossmember and would like to get the finish correct on the bent-over tabs of the bushings, since the tabs will be visible after the crossmember is reinstalled.
