C2 Any new car color like Laguna Blue

Any new cars, whatever manufacturer, with a color that would be considered close or exact to Laguna Blue?

I've never seen it in person, would like to be able to go nearby dealer and see a good sample comparison to get an idea of the true color, up close under good conditions. How is Laguna Blue best described, is it flat or metallic, any hint of grey, does it vary in sun/shade, etc

While it's not the same as seeing an entire car freshly painted, you can steer your browser to www.autocolorlibrary.com and see original color chips with your own eyes knowing there will be some hue distortion based on the color temperature calibration of your computer system...

-------After having a Laguna blue car for the last 28 years I can tell you that while its beautiful (to me) its a rough color to match and a rough color to describe. Depending on which way you look at it and how the light hits it the color will alternately appear blue then purple at times. Jan wishes it was a bit darker as she is a real navy blue nut. As well, Laguna should not be confused with Daytona blue which is her favorite Corvette color but much darker. Hope this helps.........Bill S

In addition, many body shops or paint stores can do a computer match and/or lookup to tell you what paint code on a recent car is "closest" to yours.

For Bridgehampton Blue, it was a Volvo color.

Here's a picture of my Laguna Blue '66. PPG's lacquer code for Laguna Blue is DDL13188 (the name on the label is actually Balboa LT Poly). I was fortunate to be able to salvage a small section of the original paint to ensure a good match. The paint store had to correct the shade one time to get a perfect match. Yes, it is a metallic.

As someone pointed out earlier, other colors come through depending on the angle of the sunlight. I've seen green, maroon, and black...very interesting and very unique. The color received lots of attention at this recent Texas Chapter Meet.

where do you live, i have a 66 laguna blue freshly painted by a corvette restore shop in massachusetts connecticut area. it loks exactly like the 66 just posted with whitewalls, original hubcaps, black leather inerior, and black convertible top. the only color nicer to me is tuxedo black
