when we trailered race cars we put close fitting wooden blocks in 4 place under the frame and the pull the car down tight on the wooden blocks. this way the suspension was not collapsed and no up and down movment could happen to wear out the expensive shocks and springs. when trailering C-2 and C-3 we put straps over the rear differental mount cross member not the strut rods. JMHO
