What does anyone know about this? Anything?
The first fuel pump comes off a 71 LT-1 built in November of 1970. (Both are AC pumps)Stamped on the flange is LH40709. There's no reason to believe that it's not the original pump--grimey and greasy and off a car that hasn't been on the road since the late 70's/early 80's.
The second is off at late 71 LT-1, built in July of 71 (just 148 from the end of production) Stamped on the flange, in smaller letters than the first,
38K40709 (38th day of 1971? early for the car)
Can anyone help with that kind of info? Running change? Two different suppliers to/from AC?
What's the LH mean? What's the 38K mean? Help, I don't want to lose any more sleep over this!! (actually, don't worry--I do have a life)
Thanks!
