69 BB Radiator core

Well I checked my rad today and at 8 psi the lip on the core split. To make a very long story short...can anyone recommend a correct reproduction core that will pass judging?

Greg, if you are talking about the lip at the tank connection, that can be repaired easily by a competent radiator shop. It is very common to see that seam split on the GM crossflow radiators.

Well I took it to one of the better rad shops today and he says that it needs a new core because of the crack where the lip folds back up to mate with the tank. Maybe he just wanted to sell me a new core.

I can't see how all of a sudden it cracked so I'm thinking that the crack was there before I took the tank off and that maybe I didn't have enough solder on that area when I put the tank back on. I'll lay a little more solder on it tomorrow and maybe it will fill any voids that are still there.

Dick would you happen to know what the best way to repair this is?
