    Sorry earlier message was missing a C. I need to know what is used these days to adhere weatherstripping on my 79

    Jeff, it depends on what weatherstripping you are referring to. On my original-one owner 78, the door w/s is yellow and the t-top w/s is black. Bob

        Jeff,

        I would suggest he's referring to the weatherstrip glue, not the strip itself, but forgot to type that. To the best of my knowledge, no Corvette (or other GM car) has ever had yellow weatherstrip.

        The correct adhesive is yellow in color, but think more yellow/brown than the current bright yellow 3M product. See my 72 below. I have read on this board that Napa makes a product that is much closer. Otherwise, there is someone who advertises in the Driveline the "correct" brush-on weatherwtrip cement.
