C-3 bogging & hesitating

My `76 has a fuel delivery issue that comes and goes. It drove great for the past month but last week it started to bog, or starve for fuel when I booted the gas pedal a bit aggresively. Could it be a carb rebuild, (original carb 58,000mi. not yet rebuilt) or the fuel sending unit. Or something else....Please help

change your filter on that Q-jet!

If it only bogs only when you 'floor' it, possibly the secondary air door return spring might be a little too loose.

Have a look in the shop manual or any Qjet book on how to find and adjust it.

also the pickup tube for the secondary

pull over enrichment have fallen out of their place in the top carb body. if there are 2 horizonal holes in the carb top just above the front edge of the secondary air valve your carb has this feature.

Just a thought but look in your gas tank with a flashlight and see if there is an obvious line where the water in youg gas tank has seperated from the gasoline.
