    c2 overheating?

I just had my cluster redone and had my 66 BB out yesterday and after about 10 min of driving my temp. gauge went crazy. Juming from 180 to 240 and all over the dial. And then after about 30 min of driving the gauge read 180 and stayed there. Didn't have a problem with the car running hot before the gauges were redone. Do I have to have the temp recalibrated? It's the same sending unit in the manifold. Or, could the reading be correct and have a bad thermostat or collapsed hoses? Thanks is advance

check the wire on the gauge, sounds like it is grounding out at some point.

Wildly erratic fluxuation of the temp gauge, in my experience, typically results from poor grounding of the gauge to the instrument cluster. I'd first check that the screws holding the gauge to it's cluster panel + those holding the cluster panel to the instrument cluster are tight...

Turns out to be a loose connection at the firewall. Pulled the harness and cleaned it with some CRC plugged it back in and seams to work. Thanks for all the help
