    Center Dash Frame color

    Hello,

I need to know which part of the blue interior of a '65 Nassau Blue Corvette has approximately the same color tone as the center dash frame, which need to be repainted on my car (the current paint is incorrect). Even if it's not 100% the same it would be sufficient for me.
Since I live in Germany, ordering the correct paint from the U.S. isn't that easy, thus a similar colored interior part as base would be ok.
I have a spray can from the previous owner who told me this would be correct but the color is darker than the dash pads. From pictures of other blue interiors of '65 Corvettes it apprears that the color of the center dash frame is brighter than the dash pads. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Regards

Here is what I have found for 1965 Bright Blue interior colors:

    1. Low gloss Medium Dark Blue (Ditzler #13059) paint is used on dash panel, lower windshield garnish, radio speaker grill, heater side panels. This paint formula is no longer available – you will need to get paint matched to an existing piece.

    2. Full gloss Nassau Blue (Ditzler #13057) paint is used on the windshield side and top moldings, halo panel, kick panel retainers,

    3. Low gloss Medium Dark Blue (Ditzler #13071) paint is used on the headliner, rear compartment inner area. This seems to be the paint color that comes from Mid America in the rattle cans.

    Good luck,
    Rob

Rob: looks great! I'm doing a blue/blue '65 coupe myself. Could you tell me what paint you used on the shifter console? Looks very accurate.

The shifter console was done by a third party including the paint. Per the "book" it should be #13071 and it matches to my color chip of that color. Again, this is the same color that comes in the rattle cans from mid america.
