I have a jack, my uncle gave me it came out of his 56 which he sold. I looked 1 up on ebay to get a picture of 1 to see if it looked like it. It does but there are no numbers on it what so ever. Did cheverolet even back in 1956 put numbers on jacks, and if they did could this still be a corvette jack with no numbers? Can anyone tell me Please and also it is still the orignal light colored green.
Army jeep used the same jack as C1 Corvette in WWII no # and has four holes at each corner so that it sat on four pins and a strap over that. GREEN or OD color
Rob is right on---let me add that the same jack was used from 53-61, and already in 53 it had the SJ4653 stamped on the top of the base. There are many jacks that look similar.
