4 Questions regarding the master cylinder: Please Help!!
There seems to be many vendors/rebuilders who claim to rebuild master cylinders to excact NCRS judging specs,,, but when they describe process and or final product, several different descriptions are given. Not sure which one is right.
1. Could those who have had a good experience with re-building/re-furbishing their master cylinder, please share who you would recommend. I'm looking for the "John Pirkle" or "Al Knoch" for master cylinders
2. In the archives, there is a discussion regarding MC correct #'s. However the discussion lists both 5860346 & 5460346 as the correct casting #'s for the late 71's and 72's. Which is the correct #?
3. Does NCRS consider the date codes found above the forward brake line port when judging? It appears that the date codes on MC's were not consistant nor always used?
4. If not, is the only other consideration to be correct is to have the "PG" stamp for power brake models?
Thanks in advance to all and any help!! I would use the judging manual if I could get one,,,, NCRS is out of the current manual for 70-72 and won't release the new one until after the national convention.
