I went and did it, I tried to adjust my parking brakes and somehow they have locked the rotor up. I have loosened the adjustment to the point that I can move the E-brake linkage where the cable is connected back and forth with little effort and the rotor is still locked in place. The rotor moves side to side but will not turn and will not come off the spindle more than 1/4". Any suggestions as what to do next? I would like to get the rotor off so I can see what is going on in there to lock in so tight I can't turn it with a pipe wrench on the half-shaft.

Re: C3 Rotor Removal
Tom,
It sounds like the lever that actuates the small parking brake shoes has rusted and is now locked in the on position on at least one rear wheel. If you follow the cable to a rear wheel, you will see where the cable attaches to a small lever that is supposed to move forward when the parking brake is applied, and back when the brake is released. You may have to use a small hammer and a long punch to tap the lever back to the released position.- Top
