I dont know if guys ever use this in your gas tank, but this is the best gas/carburetor cleaner that you can buy. sure works for me, the other stuff just does not have the cleaners in it. your just throwing money away with them. only a shop are dealer might get a stronger cleaner than B-12. it works on late model FI also. I know there has been a few post on gas tanks/carbs in the last few days. pick up a can and pour some in your tank an you will see it works.

I've never used a gas additive in any of my vehicles, some of which I've owned since new (early 70's) and the carbs are internally still as clean as a whistle.

What am I doing wrong?

I would think that you are not letting them sit up for long time, with out a gas stabilizer. try that and see how that works for you.

I live near Montreal, Canada and probably have to store as long as/longer than anyone else here.

Never used a stabilizer..............

well set one up say 10 years with some crapy gas in a 100% humidity.
