I am looking around for a better antenna to replace the one on my '60. I have heard of some that the hot rodders use, power from the 12V and sit as a small unit in the dashboard/windshield area.
Anyone here used one of these and can give me a suggestion of one they have had success with?
all the local auto stores(NAPA etc) have generic 12 v power antennas. i'd suggest placing it in the trunk and bringing it thru the origianl antenna hole. mike
Before you get too carried away, have you adjusted the trim adjustment on your radio to match the antenna? Instructions in the owners manual. One problem is AM stations are fewer now than in the 60's, and thus harder to tune, but a new antenna may not change that.
