C2 Jackboard Labels What Glue To Use

Does anyone have any recommendations on what type of glue to use to re-glue the jackboard posi rear-end label. My label has started to come off and curl. This label is thin and due to its age (1967), I am reluctant to use just any glue. Any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rick

    Hi Rick

I just used 3M clear adhesive for mine on my 62. It worked great, no problems.

    Good luck..John

      Here's what I did.

      Rick,

As you noted in a previous post I put my labels in clear plastic. Here's what I did:

I cut photo album clear plastic exactly to the periphery of the labels. Then I got clear self adhesive laminating sheets (Avery at Staples)and cut them an extra 3/4" around the periphery of the label. Then I put the photo album plastic over the label and laminated the plastic with the label to the board (and in the same position it was when it fell off).

I might take a few points off for this, but I have the satisfaction of knowing I have my original labels on my jackboard, as tattered as they are. And if I decide to put phoney repros on, I can easily take the originals off.

      Having fun,

Rick, this will sound strange. I went to an art supply store and purchased a spray can of glue that 1st and 2nd graders would use in school. It set up slowly and is water soluble. This allowed me plenty of time to set the instructions where I wanted and made clean-up around the instruction simple. I can just wet the instructions in the future if I want to remove them.

Rick, sorry no. It was about 8 years ago.
