    Clamp Restoration

    Hello All,

Does anyone know of a process to restore the finish on the heater hose clamps?

    TIA

    Re: Clamp Restoration

    Gary,

I'm not sure if you are referring to the heater hose spring-ring type that appear to be "cadium" plated, or the smaller "tower" clamps used in later years, which were galvanized.

It seems a little unusual to me, since more than likely the best route would be to just purchase new clamps or a set. But if you have something else on hand like paint or the implements for plating then you can probabaly "simulate" a coating. Places like the Eastwood Catalog has plating kits as well as aerosol paints for "coating" that you could try if you absolutely want to keep the clamps you already have. TBarr #24014
