Center Dash Frame repainting - remove it or not?

Hello,

the center dash frame of my C2 needs to be repainted. The car is not undergoing a restoration and this is not even planned at the moment. Now the question is to remove the dash frame for repainting or leave it installed. Can a good painter produce a satisfying result leaving the frame installed or is this not feasible.
Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

OLiver, a good painter would not try to repaint the dash without removing it or the windshield. He will not be able to spray the area close to the windshield in front of the pads-to much of an angle and he paint won't lay correctly, especially it it is metallic.

I'm not a good painter -my car is a driver -but with a little prep work and a can of Rustoleum Black satin finish- I think my dash turned out ok. If you do attemt-cleaning any traces of "armol-all" is the trick so fish-eyes don't show up in the paint.
