I am in the process of doing a fram-off on my "66" hardtop. I have had this car since 1976, with 39,000 miles on it and paid $1500.00.
The body is at the body shop and waiting for me to get the frame done.

The frame is in my garage and ready to go!! Should i paint the frame and all it's parts accordingly or have them all powder coated?
Also what about the dust sheilds behind the rotors? paint or rust?
Where can i find out the specs for painting of the frame and the parts not painted if i decide to paint?

This car will be for personal use and maybe some local shows.

Jack,

There are a many colors and finishes for your frame and other under car parts. I would order the judging manual from this site it gives great detail about what should be gloss, or semi gloss black etc. The brake backing plates should be cad plated, and I could go on but would miss stuff. I did my frame in semi gloss black Krylon spray cans, not exactly like the factory paint, but it looks good and is pretty durable. Good luck, and have fun.
