    c1 wiper motor

    Hi need a new resitor for the wiper switch assembly
    the resistor is stamped with 30 what does this mean ?
    is this the resistance ? in ohm

    or does any one know what the resitance should be in ohm
    so i can get a new replacement resistor localy

    Almost any Chevy 55 up 12V unit up will have what you need. You see used wiper motors on e-bay all the time that look Poo Poo but what you need out of it is usually OK

      Sander, I believe these are wire wound resistors. If that's the case and you can identify where it is broken, try to solder the broken ends together. You can unwind a couple of winds of each broken segment to make them reach. It won't make an acceptable repair, but it should allow you to measure the overall resistance. Failing that, measure the two segments independently and sum the measurements. Regards, Bernie Myers
