    no complete kit available

Many sellers like Mid America, Zip, Paragon etc sell kits with the main shaft, tach driven gear and bushing, but small parts like the weights and springs are no longer available in stock configuration. Aftermarket suppliers (race stuff) sell performance spring and weight sets, but they have a pretty quick timing curve with the curve all in by 2000 - 3500 RPM. If you're looking for an original curve with all in at approx 5000 RPM, you'll have better luck by buying a used pass car distributor on e bay (for about $10) and pirating the parts. That's also a reasonable way to get many of the other unavailable parts like the points plate too. It's best if you have access to the factory manuals before you buy so you can compare the original timing curve of the pass car distributor to your Corvette original curve.

Who does a really good, reasonably priced rebuild?

Hi Mark, Do you know of anyone that does a really nice distributor restoration at a reasonable price?
      Thanks, Irby

Re: Who does a really good, reasonably priced rebu

I believe Paragon does this. Probably lots of other people too. Not too hard. You can do it yourself. One of the usual vendors (Paragon, Zip, Corvette Central) has a nice parts blow up of the distributor in their catalog and carries all the small pieces.

TI Specialties does this service. They also have an informative web site with a parts blow up of the distributor. www.tispecialties.com
