On a 60 how is the vin tag attached to the L door jamb (rivets)?. also is there a motor deck stamp ? Castinging date/location? I am not familiar with C1s.... Thanks, Don

vin plate secured to door jamb with pan head phillips screws. pad stamped. casting # and date cast into block. ya need to buy the 58-60 judging manual and noland adams vol 1 book from the ncrs on-line bookstore. assembly manual also helpful. mike -

Many 60's weren't attached to the door jamb as I recall--but were attached to the steering column as were 61-62's. I'm not sure of the cutoff on that.Comment

About car #1500 it was moved to the steering column.Comment

My 60 has the vin tag welded on the steering column inside the engine compartment. Car was built in July of 1960. Hope this helpsComment
