63 T-10 front bearing Retainer

Can someone supply the part number for the front bearing retainer on a 1963 Borg Warner T-10? The casting number is 591620. Could this also be the part number? Mine is cracked and needs replacing. Thanks

The one for your application (using the 421 bell) was originally p/n 3790278.

Most transmission rebuilders might be able to provide a good used one. I'd suggest Larry Fisher as one to trust.

Pretty sure the part number you will need is 604932. The original number, 3790278, was only used in production for a short time and replaced with the 604932. I believe the 278 was an aluminum part and the 932 replacement was iron. The 932 was available in service until the mid 80's.

Yes Michael, the new number was put in service sometime between Jan.'63 and Oct.'63. A very brief run for the original aluminum retainer...
