Took the grill off my 64 roadster last weekend to rebuild both headlight motors (successfully I might add, thanks to this site and all the info, pics avail.) Now that its off I thought I would clean it up. Its in overall good shape, very little scaring etc, just old. Any good suggestions for polishing the aluminum and mostly the vertical steel supports that are rusty. Were these painted black or black phosphate? Not sure how to refinish them as since they are riveted to the louvers and I dont want to mess them up or separate them. Thanks in advance. Jim
