    miss pop

1960 Stock 230 hp 283 just rebuilt idols rough and when you back off or shift it sometimes pops. Everything is new and Bob Kunz rebuilt the carb. It runs good, it just idols rough and pops. Where should I start after plugs and plug wires?

Make sure you don't have #5 and #7 wires reversed or crossed, verify the wire indexing in the cap, and re-check the valve adjustment. Is it "popping" out of the carb or out of the exhaust?

Check your Dist Points dwell , should be 30 degrees after you set the timing.
