    C1 (60) tail pipe brackets

Building a nice 60 driver. The frame rails were shot, so I replaced them from a racing frame I purchased. Things have been going fine until I went to install the rear tail pipe hangars (purchased with an aluminized exhaust system from Allen's). They don't fit. The bracket on the frame appears to be incorrect. I am thinking that maybe my doner frame is possibly a '61 or '62?
    I have several questions:
    1. does anyone have a picture of their correct 60 bracket that can be posted?
    2. Is the location of the bracket in the same olace on a '60 vs. a '61?
    3. It looks like I could cut the vertical part of the bracket and drill it to use for the hangar I have - would this work.
Thanks for your help on this one (and previously as well)
    Rod

        Rod--
If you look in the crossmember above the frame, there should be two holes on each side, perpendicular to the floor, immediately above your exhaust pipe. A hanger bolts into the larger hole with the smaller hole being a locator hole for the tang on the hanger. The pipe/system then bolts to the hanger.
I am not familiar with the brackets that you show--they are not 61-62. My guess is that they had something to do with some racing in the past.
        Hope this helps.
        Mike

Brackets your showing are 53 to 60 your pipes need re-bending

                Here's a '61 setup as Mike described.

Thanks to all who have replied - My car is a 60 - the hangar Mike and John show are for a 61 - 62 (confirmed it in the Doctor's catalog)
Joe Mish - The hangars you show in your first picture are what I am talking about. Would it be possible for you to measure how far the bracket is from the cross member that holds the shocks and how far from the frame the bolt hole is and post it here?
Thanks again for all your help

Rod, I measured the distance on my 57 as I don't have access to the 60 right now. Measured on the passengers side with the body on.

Looks to be exactly 10.5" measured from the rear of the forward vertical surface of the shock crossmember to the center of the furthest inner hole of the hanger bracket, with the ruler lying on top of the hanger bracket.

The lower horizontal surface of the hanger bracket is approximately 1 3/8" from the bottom of the frame rail. The lower vertical edge of the hanger bracket looks to be about 3/16" above the plane of the bottom of the frame rail.
