I have looked in the archives. OE and Parargons parts house I know about, but who are the glass suppliers I saw at Carlisle. I cannot find their card/brochure. They were reasonable for dated correct glass for my 65. Anyone. Thanks Dick Gutman

Re: Glass suppliers
Dick,
You may be thinking of Auto City Classic from Isanti, MN. I think they are the ones that I talked to about a windshield for my '65. If so, ask them where their windshields are made. They may be made in Mexico, if that matters to you.
Another source is Pilkington Classics. Their price on a '65 conv windshield was $329. Not sure how this compares to OEM glass.

Re: Glass suppliers
Pilkington bought L-O-F some years ago, and has an outstanding Vintage glass service; haven't seen any of their Corvette glass, but their 1st-generation Camaro dated glass is perfection - it's even the original thickness, which is rare these days.- Top

Re: Glass suppliers
Auto City is excellent.....they buy from same manufacturers as more expensive suppliers do. They get a much better price....which they pass on to you....because they are a glass company and buy in bulk. They did my 67 coupe glass and date coded everything with current NCRS accepted duplication.....ask for Todd....he's the best.- Top

Re: Glass suppliers
Thanks for the responses. I need to order all new glass for my 65 vert. This car had all the original glass. The windshield was badly cracked. The door windows have deep scratches in them all. I will sell them on EBAY later. Thanks DG- Top

Re: Glass suppliers
OEM Glass is another vendor. You can get dated and LOF etched glass from. Ive purchased a 63 vet windshield and all glass for a 59 merc. monteray conv. from these guys. They used to have a booth at Bloomington.
And yes Pilkington purchased LOF, and now Pilkington was just purchased by Nippon, but they do have a good outlet for classic glass.- Top
