    1967 Seat Belts

I need a little seat belt information from you guys. Can you look at the underside of your '67 seat belt buckles and tell me if they are stamped
    RCF-65?

    Keith----
If you are asking about the stamping below the instructions, mine are stamped "A319". These are known original (unrestored) seat belts and buckles. Why are you asking?

      Keith,
My 67 silver coupe is stamped 3404 on both buckles. My 67 white drop top (you haven't seen it yet) is stamped 4122.

          Kent,

The question arose, when I reviewed an article for the Restorer.
I think we will clear the confusion shortly.

            Re: 1967 Seat Belts-Model No.

I think Keith is looking for the model number of the 67 seat belt buckle next to the Hamill Logo on the back, and whether or not, that number is on the back of the every 67 seat belt buckle. RCF-65 is on three pairs of mine.

              Addendum

              Keith----
FWIW, my car has an A.O. Smith body and was a mid-production year unit (SN 111648). I'd really be interested if this helps with the stamping mentioned previously.

                Re: 1967 Seat Belts

Keith. On my '67 seats belts, they read:

                female half:
                HAMILL 1967
                MODEL # C10

                Male half:
                HAMILL 1967
                MODEL # C10
                15E67 (Dated May 15, 1967)

                Hope this helps.
                Tony

                  Re: 1967 Seat Belts

Keith - Both buckles (S/N 1476) are stamped HAMILL in a long sort of retangular shaped enclosure and RCF-65 to the right of that. Belt tag reads HAMILL 1967, MODEL # C10, and are both stamed 35E66. Pete

Jerry - If you would drive a little more reasonably, you wouldn't need 3 pairs or seat belts!!!!!!!!!! Have fun. Pete

                        That's it, RCF-65

                        Nick,

Thanks for posting that picture. I thought everyone was pulling my leg with the labels and other numbers.

I think all 67 seat belt buckles have that RCF-65 on the back of the buckle, either along the base (on originals), or under the message on later replacements.

Re: Responses to the RCF-65 stamping

Jerry - With this message, I'm suggesting to folks who responded and who will respond in the future to provide the manufacturing date code information on the tag for their '67 Corvette buckles that have the RCF-65 stamped on them and of course any that don't. Pete

                              Model No.

                              Mine simply says:

                              Hamill 1967

                              Model# C10
