    C2 Bolt on knockoff question

I am considering using a set of 64 aftermarket bolt-on knockoffs for my car. I am in the mode of not showing/judging and enjoying driving and modifying my top flight car. As you all know, these bolt on to the 5 lug pattern then you put the cap over top the large knockoff fake threads and screw on the winged wheel spinner....the spinners center cap comes off and allows a small safety pin to be inserted to provide extra safety to keep the spinner from coming off....my question on these pins, how do you get the pins in and out when you take the tires/wheels off the car? Does it not jamb? Any other things to know about these aftermarket bolt ons?

Definately the way to go. Get on of the suction cup tools from LIC to remove the center caps. This tool eliminates the need to scratch or bend those caps by using a screw driver when removing. Once center cap is off, remove pin and lightly tap off spinner. Then loosen lugs and it OFF! No worries.

The pins are not a tight fit. I wouldn't be surprised the center cap is needed to keep from losing them.

I have had the DBKO's for a few years and LOVE THEM! The pin is kind of a mute point - mainly for the "real" knock off. Both use the same repro spinner. The suck cup from LIC (as stated) is GREAT. I tighen the spinner with a dead blow hammer until tight and put in the pin, then tighten slightly to retain. I just returned from the Indiana Regional and have put thousands of miles on them with zero problems. Don H.
